FRINGE AT THE PIANODROME 2026
Vroni's Streetpiano at the Edinburgh Festival
My streetpiano exhibition and a busking fringe show in a funky venue is all my heart desires. This year I have the opportunity to work with the Pianodrome, a unique concert space made entirely of piano parts. My 25 Years of Streetpiano exhibition will be shown in this beautiful venue for all of August.

EXHIBITION - An extended version of the exhibition has been created, showing my travelling piano in Italy, Sweden, France and other countries. There are historic images of my streetpiano in the 1990s on the Royal Mile as well as my streetpiano child growing up. And of course some images of this little fabulous instrument being played in the Edinburgh Meadows, my most beloved busking spot of them all.
STREETPIANO BOOK - The exhibition images and many more are included in my new little book, Vron's Streetpiano Adventures, which I created to accompany my 25 Years of Streetpiano exhibit. It gives and impression of travelling with a piano and offers little anecdotes of what happened on tours.
FRINGE SHOW - To accompany the exhibition with live music I was asked to play four fringe shows. Not really being an indoor player I found it a little difficult to imagine myself playing a fringe show with my piano. However, when the first show happened I realised that this venue is the best place for my indoor busking event.
SOUND AND AUDIENCE - We had a little crowd around the room, all piano lovers, who appreciated my music very much. The staff and volunteers of the Pianodrome are so lovely and put me at ease, and the venue has an incredible acoustic which made my stride tunes and boogie woogie sound fabulous with my fellow musicians Joey and Cammy completing the set up by creating an even fuller sound.
CAFE VIBES - To create more of a busking vibe we served tea and wine to relax everyone and create a cafe atmosphere. Joey eeven made delicious cakes. The tea is being served on tables made from piano parts, adding to the unique piano passion nature of it all.
SHOW AND TELL - As part of the streetpiano experience the audience was very happy to be taken around the exhibition and hear about decades of busking with a piano, with descriptions of struggles with bad weather, ohw to get there, permission issues and vans breaking down.
STREETPIANO VIBES - But during my streetpiano tours there were also many magical moments with children dancing and passers-by telling me about emotional responses to my music. We are doing our best to recreate the swinging and happy vibes with our show. Hope to see you there.
